Prior to bidding you must first register on our website as a bidder and agree to our terms & conditions.
When you find a property you wish to bid on just accept the terms & conditions for that lot and enter your payment card details, this will only be used should you be the winning bidder to take payment for the reservation fee and buyer’s premium (+VAT).
All bidding takes place online via our website with bids accepted throughout the duration of the bidding period.
You can either "Place Instant Bid" or "Set Auto Bid" on the page for each property.
There are pre-set bidding increments and bidders also have the option to set their own bid value using the + - buttons.
What’s an Auto-Bid?
If you know the maximum amount that you want to bid and don't want watch the auction you can enter an automatic bid with a pre-set maximum value that is only seen by you. The vendor and auctioneer do not have any knowledge of your auto bids or its amount.
The auction will then automatically out bid other bids on your behalf, in the applicable increments, until your maximum is met.
The Auto-Bid system allows you to carry on doing other things while the auction progresses so you don't have to keep logging in to our website to re-bid every time someone places a bid higher than yours.
If an auction has yet to meet the reserve price and your maximum Auto-Bid is at least or more than the reserve price, we’ll automatically make your bid meet the reserve price and bidding will continue from there.
When do auction’s end?
An auction’s end date and time are published for each property.
When a bid is placed within the last 60 seconds of the finishing time a further 60 seconds will be automatically added.
The 60 second extensions will be repeated until there is a clear 60 seconds without a bid.
This 60 second time period may change in each auction.
This system has been created to simulate the auctioneer encouraging more bids from the room.
